The goal of this design project was to interpret an environmental issue. A requirement was to avoid the use of green and blue colours, due to their over-exposure in environmental publications.
This design challenges consumerism in billboard and poster form. Consumerism creates a psychologic addiction, increases stress, impacts the behaviour of society, and can lead to financial ruin. The colour palette is based on Black Friday sales advertisements. Circular graphic elements emphasize sales and sales tags. Both graphic images include a barcode and a catchy tag line that aligns with the shopping theme.
